Quantrom Technologies Ltd (QTL)

Established in 2018, Quantrom Technologies Ltd (QTL) is a spin-off from the 6G Lab. We offer a range of bespoke services in technology and IP creation, hardware and software proof of concept (POC), business investment advice, roadmap, strategy and ecosystem building. Our expertise cover the mobile, telecommunications, IoT and AI technology sectors. Our current and past clients include tier one vendors and operators, investment banks, equity firms and policy makers.

We also offer highly sough-after speakers and tech evangelists for high level industry events, C-level meetings with technology leaders, investors and policy makers and top conferences, as well as bespoke technology briefs to senior level mangers and decision makers. Example case studies include:

–Expert assessment of 5G Fixed Wireless Access (5G FWA) Technology for superfast broadband coverage in Scotland, in collaboration with Farrpoint. The project was funded by the Scottish Government (completed).

–Developed pre-standardisation roadmap and strategy for a tier one telecommunication infrastructure vendor on requirements, ecosystem building and technology components for emerging verticals, including health and care sectors (completed).

–Developed architectural concepts and use cases for IP-based wide area 5G networks for future verticals for a tier one telecommunication infrastructure vendor (completed).

–Algorithms and solutions for 5G-based drone positioning, in collaboration with CGI. The project is funded by the European Space Agency (completed)
